Zero TB in Kids project
Diluv Hutugthu Foundation’s Disease prevention project: Reducing TB transmission in children.
Diluv Hutugthu Foundation, Zavkhan Province Health Department, and Johns Hopkins University USA have signed a three-way memorandum of cooperation to implement the project “Tuberculosis-Free Zavkhan” with the motto “Tuberculosis-free future for every child”.
The memorandum signing ceremony was attended by Diluv Hutugthu Foundation’s head Telo Rinpoche Diluv Hutugthu Danzanlamed, provincial Health Department head M. Urjinkhand, and professor of Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Kunchog Dorje.
Zavkhan province rollout is the first regional implementation in Mongolia, part of the Johns Hopkins Medicine “Zero TB in Kids” project. This effort is being implemented by Diluv Hutugthu Foundation, Завхан аймгийн Засаг даргын Тамгын газар , Халдварт Өвчин Судлалын Үндэсний Төв , Э.
Tuberculosis detection and testing will be organized in “cluster zones” such as schools and dormitories where children, adolescents spend time in close quarters, and preventive treatment will be implemented step by step.
“Step Forward Initiative” is providing support for the pilot project.
